I was looking for a service provider in the Mukilteo area now that two of our cars were past their warranty periods. Went in first for repair on a seatbelt and an oil change. While doing the oil change, they noted that there was oil leaking from the cam seals, cam bearing covers and valve gaskets. As the vehicle has over 200,000 miles they also recommended the standard 100,000 mile service. We had been told about the small leaks before by Lexus but because they were minor had decided to wait until it needed it’s second 100,000 mile service before addressing them. Took the vehicle back in for the 100,000 mile service and leak repair. The Lexus is running smoothly and we hope to get many more miles from our vehicle with the assistance of Turn Key.

My wife was driving our 1999 Volvo. The cooling light came on and there was an odd smell in the car. She pulled in a parking lot and called me and AAA to have it towed to Turn Key Auto Service. We had used them before. They had treated us well. They have always showed real concern for us, repaired our car promply and charged us a fair price. They got right on it. They had the heater coil replaced in no time. We left the car at thier shop over the weekend to let the carpet dry. we picked it up Monday. We could not be more pleased with the job they did. I don’t think we will ever take our car anyplace else!

They remember your name. They are extremely personable people and they get you in when you need to get in. They work hard to do the job with the least amount of money possible. They will work to find a used part if that is what you want and they will get it for you. I like it because it is like a small town auto repair place, it really is. They know you; they remember you and they get to know your family. I really like them a lot. That’s what is good about them. I would definitely use their services again in the future.

Craig (Service Manager), Pat, Marc and Lindsey (master mechanics) and Lori (Office manager) have been servicing our 1993 Volvo 960 Wagon (203,000 miles) since 2006. Great! They found the reason for warning lights staying on and replaced the oxygen sensor. Did full oil and lube plus I took advantage of a special deal on headlight restoration.

I took my truck to Craig and gave him the details. He had his staff look over the truck on several occasions and even started it up first thing the following morning trying to duplicate the issue. The vehicle was down a half quart of oil but the engine was running fine. I had them change the oil with synthetic and replace the filter with Toyota parts. In addition, I asked Craig to go over the whole engine because It had just turned over 76k. Later that day, I went to pick up my truck and asked for their diagnosis... Craig gave me the all the details and informed me that everything looked great with my truck - yes that’s right....there was NO up selling, just pure honesty. Unbelievable! Craig then slid the bill to me and it was a mere $65.00 for the oil change and checks. I was mentally prepared to pay up to $400.00 because of the time they spent with me and the vehicle. I asked Craig twice, is this price really correct??? He said yes... Just promise to come back at 90k when you’ll need to get the truck serviced. I must say, I can’t remember the last time I had such wonderful customer service. I will defiantly be back and let everyone know how wonderfully honest Turn Key Automotive is. What a refreshing feeling, trusting a service provider... :-)

At every oil change they do a complete check of the vehicle and let me know about immediate and possible future issues with the vehicle. Unlike the oil change chain outlets their analysis is honest. They keep the whole place clean, the service bays included, At times when I have called or stopped in with immediate problem they either do the work at that time or find a time to work me in that or the next day.
My experience with them has been so good that my next car will be a Toyota so I can continue have them work on my cars. They also work on Volvo, BMW and Audi, but I don’t want one of those.
Two things that would make it nicer.
1. Coffee for customers
2. Either a courtesy vehicle or ability to provide ride to and from when work to be performed will exceed couple of hours.

I just wanted to thank you for your diligence in trying to find the reason that my car has been missing. It is amazing that it still has not “tripped” an engine light; and the way you guys go into the computer and dig around looking for the problem is absolutely amazing! I did take it to another shop at first, and he didn’t have the actual Volvo computer like you do; he found nothing and sent me away.

Well, your diagnosis is correct that it is the Electronic Throttle Module (ETM). I called Volvo of America after a bad reception at the dealer to check about the warranty on this unit (shame on them). The Good/Bad news is the unit is so troublesome that Volvo was sued in a class action suit; and agreed to replace the unit for 10 years or 200,000 miles whichever comes first to avoid a recall. The Bad news is that I am only 4 months older than 10 years, and because the car only has 80,000 miles, it didn’t show up earlier; and they will not extend any courtesy to me at all as for as replacement.

Responsive and responsible. We have a dialog and prioritize the work based upon safety, functionality and comfort. Turn Key did not press for doing items we did not want done due to age of the car and cost. On one occasion brought car into them for routine maintenance and suggested the spark plus needed changing as emissions test was due. The plugs were not changed...and the car failed emissions. Brought it back to Turn Key and the replaced plugs, brought the car to the testing facility, and provided a free oil change to mitigate our inconvenience.
Recently purchased a 2008 Toyota Tundra and will likely bring it there for servicing.

The plastic clip on the gasoline intake cover become detached from the cover. In this condition, I can not lock the cover into place. I called the Turn Key Shop to see if someone could take a look at the problem and fix it.. I was told to bring the car in, which I did. Craig, one of the mechanic in the front office of Turn Key, took a look at my problem and in less than 10 minutes fix it. Free of charge.

I continue to go to Turn Key Auto because they do quality work in a timely manner, and they have awesome customer service. They are always friendly and always very accommodating. I will never go anywhere else for service on m Volvo!
